Experiment 1!
Hypothesis- The faster the projectile moves the farther it will travel in a horizontal direction with no angle .
Procedure- To test my hypothesis I am going to be changing the speed on the interactive. I will be doing this so i can measure how far the projectile will go with different speeds.
Data Table-
Hypothesis- The faster the projectile moves the farther it will travel in a horizontal direction with no angle .
Procedure- To test my hypothesis I am going to be changing the speed on the interactive. I will be doing this so i can measure how far the projectile will go with different speeds.
Data Table-
Results- I found out that the faster a projectile travels the farther it will travel. This is shown by the graph and data table.
Conclusions- I concluded that speed impacts horizontal distance. I found this out by testing my hypothesis. I tested this by doing multiple experiments with a object going different speeds.I concluded that the faster a object travels in a horizontal direction with no angle the farther it goes. Experiment 2!Hypothesis- That the higher the object is launched the father it will travel horizontally in 6.1 seconds.
Procedure- To test my hypothesis I am going to launch the projectile from five different heights for the same period of time with the same speed. Data Tables- Results- The data shows that height does not affect the distance of a projectile.
Conclusion- I have concluded that the height in which a projectile is launched from does not directly affect the distance the object travels. I concluded this by doing several test with different heights and letting them free fall for 6.1 seconds each. |
